Starting pitcher for the Texas Rangers, Alexi Ogando, is on the disabled list for the third time this year, according to ESPN. Ogando has been suffering with nerve inflammation in his right shoulder since the middle of August.

Ogando requested a second opinion from sports orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, who confirmed the Rangers’ worst fears. Ogando received an injection and some oral pain medication.

The Rangers are hoping their star pitcher will head back to the mound soon; however, given his string of injuries in 2013 that might just be wishful thinking. Earlier this year, Ogando was benched with shoulder inflammation and right biceps tendinitis. The team says he will return to the rotation when and if he’s healthy.
