Worried about Andrew Hawkins ankle injury, the Cincinnati Bengals are reportedly seeking a second opinion for the wide receiver. Hawkins was injured during practice last week, an injury he described as a high ankle sprain.
Head Coach Marvin Lewis says the team is getting a second opinion to find out how best to treat the injury. The third slot receiver showed up at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday wearing a protective boot on his left leg and crutches.
Hawkins definitely won’t play this week and the team is not sure he will be ready to suit up for the regular season opener on September 8th against the Chicago Bears.
